We're offering three different summer camp programs for rising 1st-12th graders!

Designed for explorers of all ages, this immersive camp gives young animal lovers an inside look at wildlife from around the world and everything we do to care for them. Zoo camp offers unforgettable experiences, meaningful learning and plenty of fun for students of all ages!

Rising 1st-5th Graders - Jr. Zookeepers of the World

• Be a Junior Zookeeper and experience face-to-face encounters with wildlife from around the globe! Camp includes lots of animal meet and greets, fun and educational activities with Zoo staff, creative games and crafts and new best friends to explore the Zoo with.
• Each week of camp focuses on different types of animals like carnivores, reptiles, primates and more (see the schedule below)! Campers can sign up for multiple sessions for different experiences.

Rising 6th-12th Graders - Animal Care 101

• Middle and high schoolers get even greater opportunities to interact with animals and zookeepers! Explore husbandry, feeding, training, enrichment and other fascinating experiences alongside animal care staff.

Rising 6th-12th Graders - Conservation Action 101

• Explore the beauty of global ecosystems and wildlife while learning about the importance of environmental stewardship. Campers will grow in their knowledge and appreciation of conservation, get involved locally in creek clean ups and other projects and enjoy unforgettable experiences with animals at the Zoo.

*Zoo Camp will not occur on June 19th in observance of the Juneteenth federal holiday. Pricing is reduced for this week.

Logistics

• Camp weeks run from Monday to Friday.
• Camp is from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day. Drop off is from 8:45-9:15 a.m. each day, and pick up takes place between 3-3:30 p.m.
• After care is available from 3:30-5 p.m. each day for an additional cost per day.
• Please make sure to register campers for the grade they will be entering in the 2026-27 school year.
• We will be taking weekly field trips to one of our partner institutions and will also be visiting the Warner Park Pool.
